The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs advises and assists the Provost on the faculty promotion and tenure review process, faculty policies, faculty retention services, under-represented faculty recruitment, faculty development, special faculty hiring initiatives, and faculty awards and recognition programs.
The Commission on Academic Excellence and Equity is broadly charged with making recommendations to the Provost and Faculty Senate concerning how, as a university community, we can support a culture of academic excellence and sustained scholarly accomplishments by all UB faculty.
UB strives to enhance the quality and quantity of research, instruction and service by providing access to and supporting the use of computers by Faculty.
CURCA assists students to build relationships with faculty mentors in their field of interest in relation to research and various creative activities.
The University Faculty Senate serves as a resource on governance for the University and as a deliberative body on educational policies for the SUNY System.
The Teaching & Learning Center provides opportunities for faculty to enhance their excellence as teachers through workshops, speakers, programs, discussion groups, and consultations.
UBlearns is a course management system used at UB. Instructors can post syllabi, readings, and assignments, and communicate via email, virtual chats or discussion boards.
